Steeped in myths, legends, and superstition, parts of Africa continue to stigmatize, shun, and discriminate against children with albinism. Caxton Osozie’s story, published by Standard Media, shows the challenges children with albinism faced growing up in Kenya at the end of the last century.

A continent-wide challenge

Through the Gift of Sight and the Gift of Education, the Dr. Choksey Albinism Foundation strives for a life of dignity and honor for every person with albinism in Kenya. On World Sight Day, October 12, 2023, we invited everyone to pledge to reach out to children with albinism in Africa and help them cope with visual impairment.
